During his time in office, Sean has helped enact policies to move New York forward on a variety of issues:
- Codifying Roe v. Wade into state law to protect women's rights and reproductive health in New York in the wake of the Supreme Court's disgraceful decision to overturn 50 years of precedent
- Reforms to strengthen New York’s gun laws and keep weapons and body armor out of the hands of dangerous individuals
- A ban on anti-gay conversion therapy and laws to protect the rights of transgender New Yorkers
- Laws to create early voting, expand no-excuse absentee voting, and ensure military members serving overseas have more time to cast a ballot
In the State Senate, Sean will continue to work every day to:
- Speak out against hateful ideologies like white supremacy, homophobia, and transphobia
- Protect women's rights and those of the LGBTQ+ community
- Advance equity and opportunity for BIPOC New Yorkers
- Strengthen our democracy by making it easier for New Yorkers to vote
